Hi there, I’m Merry
I’m based in Ho Chi Minh City, working between finance and data.
Most of the time, I deal with datasets that aren’t clean or straightforward. I enjoy breaking them down and turning them into something people can actually use.
When patterns start to show and things become clearer, that’s when the work feels worth it.
My path hasn’t been linear. It’s shaped how I look at businesses and the numbers behind them.
I started with a background in Economics and trained at KPMG, where I learned how to work through problems in a structured way. Later, I moved into real estate and consumer finance, getting closer to how businesses actually operate.
Over time, one thing became clear. I don’t look at numbers in isolation. I focus on what they’re trying to say.
Right now, I’m getting deeper into Python and SQL, working with messy datasets and learning by doing. The FMVA helped me build structure, but most of what I know comes from figuring things out in practice.
This site is where I put that into work. Each project breaks down a real business problem through a data lens, from financial optimization and lending risk to operations.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time trail running, usually somewhere with hills and no treadmill in sight. I almost always have music on, and lately I’ve been reading Thinking, Fast and Slow and Hell Yeah or No.
I built this space to think things through, to make sense of problems, and to get better over time.
Still learning. Still moving forward.
